[Line Problem] DSL Modem Dropping Connection in West Los Angeles

Equipment as follows:

Speedstream 5260 Modem
Belkin Router
Apple iMac running OSX 10.5.2
Line Number 310-558-xxx
Email; xxxx@pacbell.net

The problem I am having is that today the modem seems to be dropping the internet connection every 30 minutes or so.

Could you possibly check out the line and the modem from your end and make sure the setup is good. I'm paying the Hi-Speed internet rate.

You should edit your post to remove your email and phone number. I think you probably meant to post this in AT&T Direct: »/forum/sbcdirect.

There maybe a chance that your old modem is simply failing. They don't last forever, especially the hot running 5260 modems. Even a new Motorola 2210 (the basic modem AT&T issues now) would be a better modem than your 5260.
