Tim, those were awesome pictures, just like the movies. Great job putting that clip together. I kept watching to see you in your uniform though.

VERY cool video, thanks for sharing it Beringse! My dad was stationed for a couple of years up in Frobisher Bay, Baffin Island and Goose Bay, Labrador in the Air Force (he was attached to the Canadian RAF) in the mid 1950's, I bet you and he could talk for hours about the cold and ice! He has told me many stories, like whiteouts that lasted for days and where you could get lost a few feet from the barracks, and getting frozen from spray back fighting fires, brrrr I've been in blizzards and 30 below in Pocatello, Idaho (lived there from 1990-1997), and in some 30 foot deep snow, whiteouts and 20 below in the Sierra, but never the Arctic.

Edit-I actually don't mind the extreme cold, I can endure it much better than extreme heat.

wanna Bet? those pics are all over the net.

Knowing Tim the way we do, I think we all were surprised the camera came thru unscathed.

I was watching Dirty Jobs the other night and was wondering if they were on your boat. Pretty nasty job.

Nah, our line of work is not exciting enough for Rowe to do a film doc. He'd rather pretend he's out on a Crabber while his crew films the action-I bet he gets seasick...

I'm going to put another together with imovie instead of Windows movie maker, should be done in a bit.

He was on a fish processing ship called The Legacy. They were 50 miles out of Dutch and were out when the Pacific Glacier caught on fire. Oh, and he gets seasick, BAD! As does the rest of his film crew.
