| reply to way2evil I agree with state , where is the file actually located. Also, don't make the file 777, make it 666 at most. 777 could potentially allow someone to try and execute the file.
What type of file is it? |

| Check any 'hotlink protection' the web server may offer settings for. We had an issue with a server running Plesk where we could not access any images directly, and neither could some of our Flash applications, due to this hotlink protection...
edit: also, if it's a Win2003 server, it can be very restrictive about what files it will serve-up if there are not MIME Type entries for those files (seems rather random though). KM |
