I agree with JohnA. If all 4 sides of you can get the service and not you, chances are the FIOS tech forget to connect something up.
incorrect. the address have to be programmed into the system and the tech is given what to wire from the blueprints. its not the tech's fault its more of verizon's fault of skipping certain addresses especially if it is a new development.

Only this part of diskman's entire post is not right. Ordering service is solely dependent on your address being entered into the database of service available addresses. If it's there you can order, period.

Your need to defend techs and assign all blame to Verizon is childish and asinine. Prints are wrong, and techs make mistakes. Prospective subs care about neither. They, like the OP, are looking for an answer, as to why they can't order. Having the address referred to engineering is the only thing that will produce an answer other than Your segment just isn't finished yet.

Diskman was served from a different HUB than he expected. No one missed a connection. When his HUB was lit and approved, he was able to order. Feel better now?

Scoopy03,
I agree the switch has to be programmed however how can you forget an entire 2 streets mainly one leg to connect to the hub? I doubt they forgot to program the switch. As I mentioned to JohnA I saw and talked to the tech and he told me I was connected around the block. If so, then I should have been able to order the service 1-1/2 month ago when they completed my street. I was unable to order the service until 23rd of March 2 weeks later. I brought this to the attention and I still believe my and my neighbor street was missed on the connection. Someone zigged instead they zagged. We're only human and humans do make mistakes. Something this big and new has flaws. I'm just glad someone looked over the plans and said "hmm? this isn't right. Let's check this out" Oh well, just waiting for the installer (29 April). I'll let you know.
P.S, I did contact Verizon engineering and they were suppose to contact me around the time of the first posting. I guess this was their early Xmas present to me.
