kudos:10 | I would imagine that you'd be one of those people complaining that the level of customer service you've had with your cable/tel company has been decreasing in recent years. Why do you think that's happening? You pay $10.00/hr and you get $10.00/hr employees.. pay a decent wage and you get decent employees.

1 edit | No you don't. If you pay a "decent" wage at a union shop, you get some good folks but also a bunch of $10/hr employees making more than they're worth that you can't ever get rid of.

kudos:10 | only if they pass the probationary period.. until then they can be terminated for any reason.
Plus you have slackers everywhere, regardless of whether or not it's a union position.
