Yes download speeds are more then adequate for the majority of users. But what about upload?
There are many places where the upload is the bottleneck, for a good amount of people.
having a 6mbps connection with only 512kbps of upload, really around 430kbps in the real world, is pretty bad. If you want to upload a video, or send pictures to someone, it takes a very long time.
To me right around 10mbps is the sweet spot. but the upload is the problem.
