Re: Appears to be Upstream Carrier Outage

I was using them on 4/11 around 10AM EST when they went offline, I was able to SSH and reach my other server on their network but could not get outside of their network, I agree with you that they lost their POP to the backbone, and around 10PM EST, 4/11/2008 their gateway 66.23.224.1 and their DNS 66.23.208.142 went offline as well (no longer answer a ping).

Friend of mine went to their local place in here in ATL/GA and their door has a sign saying "We are having an outage call their CA office at 714-765-0100" and when I called that number the Tech Support falls in to "All Circuit Busy, please call later message" I guess they hosted their phone over same IP pipe and that is out too. ;-((

I hope they are not going out of biz and or stopped paying their bill.

I chose them since they offered static IP and had their ports open and offered SMTP relay mail form me Now I have to look for another provider.

@comcast.net

Am able to get IP address from speedfactory's RAS server. Also speedfactory's DNS & FTP servers are active (but DNS not able to resolve external addresses). Also speedfactory's mail server is up, but cannot send to anyone but other speedfactory email addresses due to lack of external DNS resolution.

By all appearances they have lost their connection to their backbone provider, but it appears all internal speedfactory servers/services are still active.

FIX IT!!!
