Hmm

Well let's see Verizon has taken a garage that used to hold 60 field tech's down to around 20. While this may not seem like a big deal if there was no work to be done but why then do dispatches for DSL and Dial tone troubles get pushed out 10 days???

Ya got it there. When I worked for southwestern bell, we couldn't even come home that day until all the trouble tickets were done. Of course that was back in the 70's to mid 80's. I am retired now and still talk to those working and you are correct. Customers are blowing steam when the tech finally gets there about 8 days later after the customer called in the trouble.
