| Blow a dollar save a dime I use to be on a crew where our boss would start the morning with the words "Well this is how they are spending a dollar to save a dime" at least three or more times a week. It was always some hair brained idea that looked good on paper but created havoc and extra costs in time and money elsewhere. Sure there are some lazy bums in craft but most are good workers that I would hire if I was starting a company. Management does not want you to really fix anything right just put a bandaid on it. Then they spend a fortune going back and going back and going back with one bandaid at a time until the problem can not be swept under the rug any more. If they have the money to fix it after a year of many trouble reports why did they not have the money after the first couple of reports. Most good employees finally give up trying to make things better because they are not allowed to or get written up for taking the time to do it right the first time. |
