anon : It is not false advertising. There is a disclaimer that does talk about fees and taxes. There is a 6$ subscriber line fee that goes to the maint and upkeep of the phone lines around the city. Then there are the taxes that no one but the govt has control over. When your phone goes out during a storm for any reason, I am sure you will be glad you paid the line fee so that Insight has all of the needed materials to rush out there and fix it for you.

promike : Insight advertises the phone service for $25. I was quoted around $30 with 911 charge and taxes. My bill is over $37.00. Seems as though there is a $6.00 line charge I wasn't told about. I'm in the process of switching to CityNet. We use their service at the office. They also offer $25, but should be under $30 with taxes.
