and even if they dont he should still be in consideration for what he as a player and how he has improved the team as a player. Plus his consistency for the whole season -- "Before I close my eyes I fantasize I'm living well, when I awake and realize Im just a prisoner In hell "..Tupac Shakur
How about Chris Paul, whose team wasnt going anywhere this year?
That's who would get my vote. His team would be total shit without him. The lakers have enough talent this year that they would be decent without Kobe.
reply to anwgo153 I think the true MVP is Paul.. He's done the most with the least. I think Kobe will win it, especially if they win their last game and end up the #1 seed in the west. Bostons turnaround has too many other significant parts (Pierce/Allen) for me to consider him the MVP and they play in the woeful eastern conference.

Yeah but they dominated the west and Garnett made the big impact that got them where they are. -- Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
They did dominate the West, so they really should've won more games, imo. If they would've won 70 games I'd give it to him.
You can't take the amount of games they improved at face value.. Pierce missed 35 games last year, where they went 4-31. With him they were 20-27. So they basically added Garnett, Allen AND Pierce to add all those wins. It's like when the Spurs improved 35(?) games when they drafted Duncan.. the only reason they were so terrible the year before is because David Robinson got hurt and missed almost the entire season. A lot of people credit Duncan, but the Spurs essentially added Robinson and Duncan from the year before. I just can't give that much credit to KG. The Celtics added a lot to their team. Allen, House, Posey, Pierce played in almost twice as many games and it's Rondos 2nd year. I stick with C.Paul being the true MVP.
reply to anwgo153 Need I remind you all. Do you want an MVP who fights like a girl? I say Lebron or the Kid from New Orleans. With the Celtics that was a TEAM effort more than anything and all those years without a Ring yeah they deserve it but still. -- I am the Coyote

That's the gif of the year. Kobe's knees buckled for a split second. If that guy had wanted and hit Kobe a little higher up chin Kobe would have been sleeping.
I havent picked on you in a while Mr Shorthorn lol -- "Before I close my eyes I fantasize I'm living well, when I awake and realize Im just a prisoner In hell "..Tupac Shakur
reply to anwgo153 Lakers Can Win without Kobe. Hornets can NOT win without Chris Paul. So who should be the MVP? Paul got screwed. Lets give it to Kobe for his years of service? thats what everyone is saying. NO give it to the one who took his team from nothing and got it to the Playoffs and now up 2 on last year Champs. -- I am the Coyote
