Col_Helmet : Unless you a hard core gamer and run a few servers.
I have TWC RR(8 years) and DSLX DSL (4-5 years) at home (and Sprint Mobil.)
And RR can't compete with DSLX;s routing and low latency.
You also can't get a static IP with RR nor do they like you to host and services. And it's only a matter of time till they start doing the "Resonable Network Management" con.

Even though my cable line is my back up connection, it seems to be down more than my DSL and that's with a bad IW.

I would give George a chance to look into it.

Does switching to cable guaranty that you will not speed issues or any issues... NO. You are bound to have a problem with any connection, weather it's cable, DSL or WiFi. If you haven't had any problems then you are part of the lucky crowd. But as it is, you are with DSL Extreme right now so the easiest thing would be to given them another shot at fixing the problem.
--
Check 6

Have you had a phone company technician dispatched out to your location yet to test the lines? Can you please provide me with your account information so I can take a look at what has been done on your account thus far?

Thanks
--
George
General Manager
DSL Extreme
Will work for reviews. ;)

anon : 2 weeks since signing up for dslextreme pro, 10 calls to support, 2 level two contacts and my connection speed was still at 49kbps on dl this morning. For two weeks it has hovered as high as 352kbps, only to drop back to between 151 and 49. Upload is consistent at around 352kbps.

I must be an exception given the great reviews, but this is very disappointing and it looks like I am going to have to find a way to cancel my contract. I would have stayed with earthlink if I wanted to spend hours and hours on the phone with support with no resolution. Anyone else have a similar problem?
