In the fist post of your stats you have an upstream of 768. Is 768 even a profile? Its not one I recall as seeing as being a standard profile. No, xxxx/768 is not a profile. It's a profile with 800kbit upstream, but if it cannot sync at 800 it ratchets down a bit... -- ,,!,,('-'),,!,, |

| reply to HiVolt said by HiVolt :I'm interested what the "specialist" will have to say. The Bell DSL guy was here. He was most interested in the numbers I posted. I also have screenshots of both the 3 meg and 5 meg lines (Thanks, Bell_Martin). He thinks my line may drop in the winter, but we'll see.

That's a little odd, since it's usually in the summer when line conditions become an issue, as the heat causes the copper wiring to expand, increasing overall loop length. In winter is contracts, shortening the loop length. -- I swear that I will faithfully and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfil my duties as a Canadian citizen. |

| From experience with an access system (wires running for K's undergound); we seemed to have the most issues in the winter as moisture would get into the buried stuff and would actually break the wires (ice expansion).
Funny part is that this would happen no matter how well you tried to insulate the system. |

No. No need, as the 5 meg profile has been attained. That was the only comment. However, as it has never happened, i do not anticipate it being the future. In addition, with everything new, there should be no issues. Line has been stable at 5 meg for almost 24 hours. -- Need-based health care not greed-based health care. |
