 | [HSI] Speed Increase I can't explain it but my speed have jumped from about 6 Mbps to over 10 Mbps in the last week or so. Is this a Comcast takeover effect? Whatever it is I'll take it. Thanks again PatMedia for selling out. |
 | Most of us in Somerset have been getting 10mpbs for over a year and a half now.. |
 | reply to shaffer001 I've never had these speeds. Not only has the speed increased but it seems to be much more consistent. My old speeds would fluctuate from 7 to 3Mbps depending on the time of day and traffic. Now my speed seems to be solid at 10+. I've complained many times on this forum and now I want to applaud the cable company for finally doing something right. |

 | Advertised 15/2 here in Somerset for over a year now: »www.speedtest.net/result/260368417.png |

 | reply to shaffer001 Strange - here in Hunterdon. Last night HSI was down for about 10 minutes at midnight. Since then speeds have doubled - 20 down and 2 up. I had never seen better than 11 down and of course 1 up. |
 | I confirm that there has been another speed increase. I'm seeing 15/2.5 this morning. This is faster than I've ever seen. I love it. |

 | reply to shaffer001 At first, everything seemed to be getting speedier. Now, at home, my download/upload is stuck at 1mbit/1mbit. Wonderful.
At work, where we have (had) a business patriot media account, we cannot seem to connect to the internet, yet we can remote in. We cannot process credit cards without the internet working properly. Today, we will lose money due to Comcast. |

 | reply to shaffer001 now I'm posting from my iPhone - comcast has not done anything to make sure that business customers with a static ip are taken care of, it seems. I could probably put in a modem into one of our boxes, but our phone lines are virtualized, so we really only have 2 lines coming in... its just a big pain in the ass |
 | After calling and finally getting thru to someone that actually cared, I'm posting from work now. Also, internet speeds seem to be in the 30/2 range, which is about 5/5 higher than patmedia's business class speeds. |
 | reply to shaffer001 Is anyone else noticing a speed reduction tonight. My speeds usually stay around 13/1.8. But, now are running consistantly around 9.5/.9. Per Comcast they are performing router change overs from Patriot. But, I wonder if they have change my HSI plan?? |
 | reply to shaffer001 Very slow download speeds these past few days (under 1Mb). Anyone else see this in the Montgomery area?
Thanks.... |
 | with patmedia I got constant speeds of 10/1 but now i see anywhere from 15/2 to .00000000001/1 .. welcome to the comcastfest |
 | Spoke to tech support this morning. Evidently Comcast is having issues converting over the Patmedia HSI customers. They said I am temporary on the 10/1 plan because of the issues, and I should check back in about a week. It is noted on my account that I should be on the 15/2 plan. I'll bet they come back to me and say because of my location in Branchburg all I can get is 10/1. |

mdr5Premium join:2003-01-29 Somerset, NJ | reply to jimmsta2 Woot! Cruising faster then I ever have before. Hitting around 25/2. Had some issues initially, if you are you might want to try rebooting your router and modem a few times, took a few reboots for things to settle in. I am one of the few that has a grandfathered static IP from the days when Patmedia was RCN, Ive had this IP for forever, and I complained initially, the day I got my email saying I would lose it, and I received a call from a representative from comcast, worked a deal out to the point he faxed me some paperwork to sign, I faxed it back, now my prices stay the same, I have my static IP, and my speeds are way faster. Im happy! Cant believe Im saying that with what ive heard about Comcast. Hope it lasts, but then, I do have a signed contract \ |

 | reply to V_DSL_027 I just ran a speed test to nyc.speakeasy.net. I live in branchburg and got 25315 kbps down and 2004 kbps up. Seems rock solid to me. |
 | Where in Branchburg are you located. I am off off Old York Road and Windy Willow Way. Still gettng 10/1. |
 | I'm on Windy Willow Way as well. My service was out for three days before they finally fixed it. I'm only getting 10/2 right now. I'm pretty frustrated with this whole Comcast nonsense... |
 | I am also in WWW. I'm getting 10/1. Service has not gone out but disappointed with speed decrease. I will be calling Comcast/Patriot mid week to discuss my situation. Was told to contact sales department. |
