Bell Co (Quality of building construction)

I have a simple question about bell building. Bell build an extension to my co last year to add dsl equipments (I supposed). Are bell often use this kind of building for their pots and dsl equipments? I don't want to say what I think of their quality of construction. This seem to have been build by Expertech as this was the only truck we ever seen here in one year. Is this a common building for a Co?

ouch man thats crap. I work for Telus and ours look pretty good. We even have some that look like houses in the residential areas. You would never know it was a CO. The yard is totally kept up, its kinda funny.

we have > 75km/h wind often here. This is more solid then we think. I'm more scared about the rain on an unprotected wood...

I wonder if they got a building permit when they built it. I seriously doubt it. Perhaps we should ask Homes on Homes to come in and do it right

Looks to just be used for storage.

Bell has one of those storage "garages" rented out in one of my father's buildings.

They use the building to store ExpressVu recievers and other random things.

Try not to use a »ftp:// link when posting images. It will not function correctly in IE and with firefox it tells me I have too many connections because I looked at your AM Radio Thread.

That's exactly how the nearest Bell CO to me looks like, it's actually creepy. It looks like a house, however it is built out of actual high quality bricks so it can stand forever.

But mostly they use these:

The wodden extension, I don't know about. But for the main shack, it is far stronger than you might think. Vandalism is far more important consideration than high winds, and the shacks are quite solid.

Looks to me like the wooden structure would be temporary. Probably some shelter while workers work to insert new cabling in some underground conduits and possible splice them (especially if fibre).

Wouldn't be surprised of there was an underground chamber under the wooden shack.

If you can get close enough, you might wish to look to see if the concrete slab under the proper shack extends to all of the wooden shack.

Notice the lack of windows? This because sunlight will kill the blood-sucking vampires at Bell.

The CO's I'm talking about are actually a house. If I go by it again I'll post a picture. You can't tell the difference between it and the neighbors except the CO yards is in better condition with landscaping etc. And the big genset enclosure parked in the driveway

Around here, the COs look like fortresses. They're all older construction, though, and were probably built with Cold War considerations in mind. Newer, non-urban, COs aren't expected to withstand as much damage...

I think it is very good. It looks like a washroom, a place to take a leak

I would like to take a leak on Bell
