Just check out the Spamming complaints that have been rampant on the Net for way too long. The idea to make something opt in rather than just pushing it at the average user leaves all too many vulnerable and the fact that once done, it's impossible to change is just wrong!

Btw., I have not had a problem for some time now as my filtering takes care of the problem quite nicely.

Yes you are correct in that if you dont sign up for the newsletter you will not get unwanted email.

I guess the guy above didnt read that part. It clearly asked if you accept the newsletters and he probably left them checked.
