I spoke to someone names Ira at NextPhase, but...

An hour or so ago I reached someone at Nextphase named Ira. He apologized and said that the problem would be solved by late afternoon. It's 4:52 P.M. Nothing yet. I am about to call Ira again. I am a patient person, but...

I also got a human named Robyn in the phone who was very nice and apologized profusely while I was canceling my account.

You actually got through to someone to cancel? What number do I dial for that?

714-765-0010. Rarely, a person will answer. I got Robyn on the third try. You might want to try dialing 0 into the IVR. Don't hit 2 or 3 (tech / customer support) as they will forward to the defunct Speedfactory number.

I also spoke with Ira. He is the VP of Sales. I was unable to cancel my account. I was told that I would have to wait for the servers to come back on-line so he could look up my account information. I am still under contract with them so I don't know if that is the reason I am having to wait. He said someone would call me in a day or so. Great Service, Huh!

This really stinks. I have a mail server and web server setting idle because of this.

Re: I spoke to someone names Ira at NextPhase, but...

I just got home from the office and my AtNex service is up. I also got a voice mail from Ira. He said service should be up in a few hours. Yeah right. It's too late anyway. Here's what SF's web site is saying...new customers...HA!

TO ALL SPEEDFACTORY CUSTOMERS

We apologize for any inconvenience our service outage has caused you. We accept full responsibility for this outage and have taken steps to prevent this from ever happening again.

We are here to stay in business with you, our valued customer, in the Atlanta area.
We are investing in proper backup to support the services we provide in Atlanta, so that we will not put you in this difficult situation ever again.
We will be offering a month free of charge to all SpeedFactory customers affected by this outage.
We are implementing proper call flow management and communications to assure you will never be without a simple means of communication with us.
We are also willing to offer free installation and one month of free service to all new customers who sign up for any of our services the rest of the month (April, 2008)
We hope you accept our sincere apologies and thank you for your patience and support during this very trying time.

Sincerely,

Robert Ford

CEO, NextPhase Wireless, Inc (parent company of SpeedFactory)

I've been looking over that website (speedfactory.net) and I have yet to see any message even remotely resembling that. Where are you seeing this? I'd like the pleasure of seeing this myself, live on their website...

Something similar to that message appeared on speedfactory.net while the outage was continuing. Ridiculous that it wasn't there on Friday.

The CEO Message was on www.speedfactory.net for 2 or 3 hours this afternoon, but as soon as the speedfactory network came back up, they changed the DNS servers to point back to the "real" site instead of the temp site with the CEO message.
