She was over here the week before last and of course my elder daughter's kids had to come down to play with there cousin. One of the fav play spaces is the basement rec room and also we had a tornado warning so Becca went downstairs twice. She slide down the stairs on the seat of her pants and the two cousins helped her get up by putting themselves on either side of her and putting Becca's arms over their shoulders and taking the steps one at a time.
Kids are often smarter than we adults give them credit for.
I sure do have a problem with this heart transplant thing, I just can't wish for someone else to die.

It breaks my heart to keep reading her struggles. But I continue to pray for the time she comes home, and is able to play and be the young girl she deserves to be.

I have been going to post many times but there is always something that will be decided tomorrow. 100% of her heart is damaged. It is working with about six percent efficiency. While we were there the nurse disconnected her from all the wires and tubes so she could take a shower and she was not in there long before she had a spell and they had to help her back into bed and hook her up again. They had a chair in the shower for her to sit on. She appears OK as you talk to her in bed, she just can't be active as an eleven year old would like to be. I have heard that they will put her on the list for a heart transplant next week and also that she may be able to go home but have heard these two rumors before. I do believe that she will be soon on the heart transplant list but the going home bit may just be Stanford soon I am afraid. Word is that she will not likely live five more years without the heart transplant. Again, again more information is supposed to come tomorrow and Tuesday.

Her heart is working at 10 to 20 percent efficiency and that with the help of medication. They have tapped her lung and are keeping it drained. The hope is to get her pneumonia under control and then wean her off the IV drugs and unto pills. They gave her some kind of medicine to get her kidneys functioning and it worked quickly. This hospital is like none I have ever seen. Small rooms, small beds in the ICU and an RN for every two patients. The vitals screen shows both patients numbers in each room. A menu for the kids that can be used anytime between 7:30AM and 7:30PM. There will be no heart transplant for her, she has to be in remission from the cancer for five years to qualify.

Please pray for Rebekah's mom and dad also, they need a lot of help right now.

The Cardiologist asked Tresa (her mother) a long list of questions and the answer to every one was yes. Becca never had the flu, what is wrong is a side effect of one of the chemo treatments that they had to use on her. She has a blood clot that is leading to congestive heart failure. And since the clot is on the left side of her heart they are not likely to try surgery to fix the problem. They have have given her Heparin (Sp?) to dissolve the clot hopefully with in five days. There is a chance that the clot could move and maybe into the brain. If the clot remains six months they are looking at a heart transplant.
Last night her lungs filled up with so much fluid they had to put a full face oxygen mask on her so she could breath and are going to drain her lung this morning.

They went down to Indiana this last weekend to see her dad dthar See Profile. Am I grateful that the problem did not get real bad till she returned home to the doctors that know her so well!

She was taken to see the doctor again last night and admited to the hospital because she was dehydrated. This morning we received the bad news that she has a blood clot in her heart and an enlarged liver.

Your prayers and mojo would certainly be helpful.
