I did mention that I am a Prem Tech up in the Chicago area. I know how committed we, as AT&T, are committed to making U-Verse work.

And yeah, I also have dispatched with very little or no information on what exactly the customer is looking for. But I get to find out when I first arrive anyway, so its not THAT major of a deal, usually.

Agreed, AT&T techs are VERY good, when they are given the chance. The weak link I've found though with AT&T (and other service providers) is the dead short between the customer service phone support and the field techs. Too often I've had techs dispatched with none of the information I gave the phone reps. You make a good point about their commitment to fix problems with U-Verse.

He went back to Comcrap, and he has NO LOVE for Comcast, either. But he left because he has some sort of line problem that caused the U-Verse VDSL signal to be spotty. I suspect it is a bridge tap on the line. He said the same thing happened when he used to have BellSouth ADSL a few years back.

He actually liked the service and the features, but the reliability is what got him to go back to Comcast. Now I gotta try to convince him that AT&T WILL fix the line problem, just gotta give them the chance (AT&T is VERY committed to U-Verse, as it is the future).

My brother who lives down in Kennesaw was able to order U-Verse and he got it installed. He chose not to keep it, but he gave it a shot.

I have not lived down in the ATL area since I was about 2 years old (I live up in the Chicago area), so I am not that familiar with exactly what part of Kennesaw he is in. But I know the service is in some parts of Kennesaw.

Try checking availability at »uverse.att.com or give 800-ATT-2020 a ring (unless the phone number is different in Georgia, but I doubt it...)
