Canceling Bell

Hi, i just called bell to cancel my internet and switch over to teksavvy, when it came down to getting my cancellation # they said they couldn't give me one, because i had the LD and Hispeed package since 2003,they were unable to put a note in to generate a cancellation number, but they assure me my internet will be canceled. What should i do, i dont want my line card to pull out and have another one put in.

I'd suggest calling back and talking to someone else, there's probably a way to get the number. And make sure TSI has the exact date your service will be canceled with Bell, and a good amount of advance notice. That way they can probably put in the request far enough ahead of time. The two requests (install and deactivate) are supposed to cancel each other without needing the number, the number just increases the chances of it happening. So there's no guarantee your line card will be pulled just because you don't have the number.

Wow I don't see how having those two things can cause you to fail to generate a cancellation number. I would write in the SympaticoDirect forum to see if they are yanking your chain.

allow me to be of service
A) tell them about the lady who successfully sued an ISP for breaking a contract and got a rather HUGE settlement
B) indicate that they breached your contract and you wish immediate termination without penalties that if they so act and deliver to you ( and they will try) then you tell them you willhave your day in court and get a few grand off them.
The telus case has set a nice precident and it scared bell into giving me the following : free sat/phone last month and 133$credit and another 130 $creditthis month on 70$ of charges
next month starts my 2 month free programming for the sattilite and hten its 20% off for two months
( oh yah call them and tell htem you are going to cancel see what deal they offer and tell them this is why)
ALSO let your teachers now YOU hate them for doing this too you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so many people are leaving they are trying any trick in the book to keep people knowing full well its BS.
DO NOT TAKE SHIT. there is 24/7 business people you can get hold of. threaten them back if enough people get breached contracts thats where class actions can happen and that telus case means lawyers will love this type a work.
