As with any tool, its legal to own, but its legality is questionable depending on how its used.
I saw nothing about 200db gain, as the antenna it uses is only 14.5dbi... that leaves a lot left to the "buffalo", which definitely cant do that.
The article made it seem interesting, however breaking to down into its parts, theres nothing new and exciting about it.
I think this thread would be more appropriate in the "Wireless Networking" forum... as it has nothing to do with SMBB.
