I just upgraded from the Starter package to the 3.0 Mbps/768 Kbps package. My upload speed has increased but my downloads haven't.
My last speed test yielded these results:
759 kb/s DL 454 kb/s UL
What can I do to fix this? |

1 edit | reply to rob21223 Boy Rob, I though you might have problems, but not that bad. After testing, try plugging the modem right into the NID and test again. Here's what I got on you.
Downstream Upstream Relative Capacity 100 99 Noise Margin 6 8 Transmit Signal Power 19 12 Attenuation 60 36 Interleaved Bit Rate 3360 672 (in use) Intr Max Attainable BR 3360 672 (in use) Fast Channel Bit Rate 0 0 (not in use) Fast Max Attainable BR 3360 672 (not in use)
Try to reboot the modem and see if anything changes. -- RIP my baby Buttons 1/15/94-2/9/07 Buttons, Buttons video

| reply to rob21223 That connection is very marginal. It can probably hold at that margin, but it won't give much room for variances as something small would throw that right off and cause a resync. As for the ping, pings can vary no matter what, so it may be just something different on that test. |
