Avira Web Guard and GRC leak test

Hello,

Avira Antivir Premium 8 uses a proxy for its Web Guard, which in turn makes Outpost Pro 4 fail the GRC leak test. I do get a prompt, yet, even if I block the GRC leak test, it still indicates that it can connect.

How do I configure Outpost to block the leak test whilst keeping the Avira Web Guard enabled, or must I make a choice between potential leaks and web scanning? If the latter, then which choice would afford greater overall security?

Thanks, and best wishes,

jm0307

I'm not sure that you can but in any case I would disable web scanning (and improve web browsing speed), your AV still protects your computer as any malware will be detected on access.
