| Cyfre 819 Connection Help
I just got the Cyfre 819 because Alltel said I was out of DO range and I was only connecting at 1x. I am back to -75dbm today and it is as good as it was. I can't figure out how to connect this antenna because I've never done anything like this before. Any help would be deeply appreciated. I have the Cyfre 819 for a 30 day trial. If I am out of DO range why did my UM 150 work so well until this past week? Why is it all good again now? I use the UM 150 on a Desktop and never move it. Thanks in advance. |

| all you need is the antenna connected on the antenna side and the adapter cable plugged into the card and connected to the phone side. If you need an adapter you can get them at www.cyfreadapters.com

Buffalo, NY | There is an RF port on the side of the Card ( under a rubber plug I believe. It takes the Cyfre IAC057 cable

| Thank you. I don't seem to have anything that looks like it would connect into the UM 150. I probably will return it because last night my UM 150 came back from ix to DO and I have 5 bars and a signal of -75dbm and it is working good. Since I have it for 30 days I would like to try it to see if it makes it better though. |

| You just go to the web site I gave you and go to antenna adapters . Then go to EVDO adapters and choose the 150 from the drop down menu and they send you the cable. It is really easy

You can also try locking the modem to DO only. If you have that good of a signal you should not have any problem with it in DO even when the signal fluctuates. Locking the modem to DO will keep it from going 1X. |

| Thank you for the suggestion. My signal is dropping but very slowly not like it did when it went to a 1x connection. My husband went into Alltel and they are sending me the right cable I need to connect to the Cyfre 819. I got the UM150 when all the leaves were off the trees so this is new for me using EVDO. |

| I thought I should mention how the Cyfre 819 worked with my UM 150. It made my connection slower. The dbm went to -90 and without it now it is -77. I though it was going to do something that would make my connection more stable but I honestly didn't see anything. |

| It is not connected properly then . First do you have the magnetic mount antenna mounted on at least a 10 inch by 10 inch metal ground plane? Is the power light on ? Are you using a the proper antenna adapter that plugs into the card properly? Alltel reps often get lazy and give out induction adapters that do not connect properly

Buffalo, NY | If the light is not on the amplifier is not on , There is a fuse in the end of the cigarette lighter plug . It might be blown. It takes a normal 3 amp glass car fuse

| My husband looked at the fuse and he said it isn't blown. I think we'll send it back and wait to maybe try it again sometime. Since Alltel is going to boost our signal soon maybe I won't need it. It is alot of money to spend these days. I have a -75 or -76 dbm now with 4 or 5 bars and the trees are getting full of leaves. If they boost our signal hopefully that will help with a more stable connection. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. |
