I agree that it should be up to each airline. Just like I think laws banning smoking in privately owned bars is out of line. Leave those decisions up to the business owners.

On the other hand I'd just be happy if the FCC would publicly own up to the fact that there is no technological reason for the ban. Yes I don't want to hear some jack*ss trying to sound important, but his phone is not going to bring the plane down, and trying to convince me it is only makes them look like idiots.
