yeah, who really wants to have to sit next to someone talking to their doctor about their list of various uncurable diseases?

or worse... their psychiatrist on the other end telling the person how to not "freak out" on the plane...

...they have credit card phones for those emergencies...

I agree with this. Texting (with the phone in vibrate mode, no ringing) and surfing the net are both quiet and shouldn't disturb the others on the plane.

I would think this would keep both sides of the debate happy.
