I stumbled across a Verizon tutorial about the analog elimination. They put it in a place no one would ever find it. If you're interested go to the Main Menu then

After posting concerns in the other (Philly) thread about not having gotten the letter, I received the letter yesterday (04/19/08). Am serviced out of the Kirklyn CO and live in the Penfield section of Havertown.

Edit: Forgot to note that the letter simply said "beginning in June."

I also posted in the Philly thread, but I'll restate here. Letter arrived for Yardley PA area (across the river from Trenton NJ) on Saturday (4/19). Conversion listed as beginning of June.

When it goes digital, then report it. My letter said April 28th. I don't know if they are going by CO or VHO.

Got the letter in Glen Mills,Pa yesterday.
Ordered 3 boxes today.
No problem requesting 3.
Should arrive in 5-7 business days.

Can someone who has received the boxes tell me if any video/audio cables are shipped with the boxes?

I may need to order some?

It comes with a coax patch cord.

FWIW,
VHO 9 (Central-VA/Richmond) is still version 5.68 as of 4/22.

You're not missing much. A tad bit faster when first going into VOD. It's also supposed to address duplicate series recordings, whatever that means. I'm surprised you didn't get it. You'll probably get it either tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.

Order placed for 2 digital adapters. ETA: 5 - 7 days.

I'm starting to think my order is lost / never really placed. I ordered 2 on the 8th and she said that I should expect them on about the 21st.... I don't have the strength to call back yet and ask where they are. Getting anything done when you don't have phone is ridiculous.

I should have known something was up when my confirmation order didn't show any status in the online order status checker... back when all you needed was the long status code and zip code....

edit: she did say that they were swamped and though 5 - 7 days was normal, they were being swamped at the time I called.

edit 2: I called. There was a problem with my account, she wouldn't say what... I must have been billed correctly! we can't have that! order no2... 5 - 7 BD's....

Ordered boxes 4/22/08

Received 3 on 4/24/08

Connected and activated by internet 15-20 min to activate.

Boxes work great.

Received letter in DE 4/24/08. I am guessing they are spreading the letters out so the customer service does not get slammed all at once. Ordered three free adaptors (DCT 700's) I plan to return both of my SD boxes after my free boxes arrive and order a SD DVR in its place... only couple bucks more that way...

Digital adapters (DCT700) arrived today. E-Z setup, composite / stereo cable. Haven't used those since the VCR era. PQ is fine.

One activation code for both units.
