| Shaw HD Question
If I get Shaw HD, will I still be able to access regular cable on my other cable outlets in the house? In other words, I'll get a shaw box for the main TV, but the basement and Bedroom TVs will be hooked into the normal cable outlet.

Y(ou can get regu;lar cable on upto 4 outlets and one hd box one outlet but you have to buy a 500 or so dollars box to get HD.
Where you live? If you live in Sask, there's Sasktel HD and you get the dvr with hd box for free as part of the service. If you live in Alberta, Telus HD is available so maybe you should phone Telus and find out the pricing.
I hear alot of complaints about Shaw so they have alot of macro blocking and audio drops so why risk buying their equipment.
Let me know everything goes and hope for the best.

| Well...I want to have three TVs hooked up, but only one on HD. So a non-cable option doesn't seem feasable, unless I am mistaken.

| Do they offer Telus or even BEV HD for that matter cuz i wouldn't want to pay Shaw for all of the crap that they haven't fixed in a least 6 or 7 months. They don't look too promising so I have Sasktel HD myself and I'm watching CBC-HD GALGARY Flames Hockey game and no audio drops and /or Macro blocking so my services is still up to snuff. I had it for a least 4 or 5 months, well for the dvr service but the hd service a little over a year. Still happy with regards of service.
Thanks for your reply, Everybody got choices, right? Keep us posted. |

| reply to Shaw Sucks Well, to answer the dudes question, Shaw would easily be able to accommodate regular cable on his other TV's...
...where as your beloved SaskTel cannot.
If you've got more than 2 TV's, your hooped with Telus's and SaskTel's digital TV service...
...oh, you can always split the signal and coax it over to another TV, but both TV's will have to watch the same channel.
Score a win for Shaw if you have more than 2 TV's...
Of course, most peeps aren't watching more than 2 TV's at once, in their homes anyway... |
