My Missy is gone my cuddle kitty and best friend for 17+ years due to Diabetes complications . She was my sanity and my little love she slept in the crook of my arm every night I loved her so much
She is gone lost to the world and I feel empty at the end she was in my arms and it was like she was sleeping she looked at peace my heart is breaking but I know it was for the best. But still I wish it had not really happened.

Oh Hank, I am so sorry for your loss. Missy looks like a very sweet kitty. When these little fur critters leave us that take a chunk of our hearts with them. I know it won't make you feel any better but I'm in tears just thinking about how you must feel. -- The voices may not be real, but they have some pretty good ideas. . .

She wasn't ours, but it feels as if she was. We had known her since she was a puppy and we spent lots of time with her. She is finally at peace, having had to be put down at going on 17 last week. She allowed so many so much happiness, even to her last moments. Saying good bye to her when leaving her her last weekend was most difficult but far too long in the making. She was so uncomfortable. She is no longer. -- JKK
Age is a very high price to pay for my maturity. If I can't stay young, I can at least stay immature!
Yes. Her name was Tache which was supposed to be French for "spot" but turned out to be French for "the spot", or so we were told. She was definitely part of our family. I had a Dalmatian as a kid and our son followed in my footsteps with his love for the breed.
Thank you all. I think the older we grow, the more closely we can feel to our own demise, so when it happens with a four footed loved one, it really hits. It hits any time, but being closer to one's own fragility seems to hit more than I would have thought.
Well this is the part of life I hate the most we had to say good bye to a wonderful wonderful friend yesterday and it never ever gets any easier she was so very cool and tiny!! our hearts are broken Rest In Peace Minnie We Love You So Much!!

Today I had to say good by to my sweet little boxer girl, Jazi. She was 13-14 years old. We rescued her and had no idea what her age was but it was estimated to be 6 and that was in March of 2005. In the last few months her health has declined. She had trouble walking, seeing, hearing, and eating. She had a couple of mild seizures. At night we could her her whimpering in what we were guessing to be pain.
Thanks for the kind words guys. She was a wonderful cat and we miss her dearly. Funny how animals can be such a part of our lives in little ways we seem to take for granted until they're gone and are no longer there for those little things.
Like I said, she was more our daughter's cat, as far as she could call her, and she'd run to bed with her. Did that since she was 2. When our daughter started college and was away from home she became OUR bed cat, and she would then sleep near us in the same way she did her kid (up by your head, on your arm)
Definitely the worst part about pet ownership, be it 1 year or 16. We're down to one cat now, she's 10, and has been VERY clingy/needy since Friday, which is out of character for her. Makes you wonder what they know..........
