Oh Hank, I am so sorry for your loss. Missy looks like a very sweet kitty. When these little fur critters leave us that take a chunk of our hearts with them. I know it won't make you feel any better but I'm in tears just thinking about how you must feel.

I know to well and deeply how much this loss of a friend that just happens to be a of the Canine persuasion can be.

Yes. Her name was Tache which was supposed to be French for "spot" but turned out to be French for "the spot", or so we were told. She was definitely part of our family. I had a Dalmatian as a kid and our son followed in my footsteps with his love for the breed.

Thank you all. I think the older we grow, the more closely we can feel to our own demise, so when it happens with a four footed loved one, it really hits. It hits any time, but being closer to one's own fragility seems to hit more than I would have thought.

Well this is the part of life I hate the most

Today I had to say good by to my sweet little boxer girl, Jazi. She was 13-14 years old. We rescued her and had no idea what her age was but it was estimated to be 6 and that was in March of 2005. In the last few months her health has declined. She had trouble walking, seeing, hearing, and eating. She had a couple of mild seizures. At night we could her her whimpering in what we were guessing to be pain.

You will be missed Jazi.

I am so so sorry. A small bit of warmth but with a big presence has gone. Remember her for all that warmth she gave you, asking for nothing but love.
