| Earthquake anyone?
I felt something going on around 4:38 AM CDT at Eastern Illinois University. I was woken up by it! Bed was shaking with some slight rattling from windows and such. Apparently it was a 5.4 magnitude with an epicenter about 100 miles south from here (Charleston, IL). Anyone else feel anything? |

| reply to dellerdsler Yeah. It woke me up because the bed was shaking. Kind of scary when you wake up in a dark room because the bed is shaking and one of the first things you think about is the movie, The Exorcist. Lot of cracking and popping and it kind of sounded like large hail was hitting the roof. No damage here, just shook things up a little in more ways than one. The dog wasn't too happy either. -- Ninja of the Nasty |

| reply to dellerdsler Yah I felt it. Woke me up. We didnt have any damage that I could see though. I'm a little south of St. Louis. It was the first earthquake for my wife. She woke up somewhat from it. She didnt believe me when I told her it wasnt me shaking the bed from tossing and turning LOL. We got a good laugh out of that this morning. |

| reply to dellerdsler I was parked in the car dozing before my shift and the car started rocking...at first I thought it was wind and I remember looking up and not seeing anything blowing! For some reason I still wrote it off as wind (I was really tired ok!). I completely forgot that the events had even happened this morning until I seen the news this afternoon and then seen the time that the quake actually happened... -- "While preceding your entrance with a grenade is a good tactic inQuake, it can lead to problems if attempted at work." -- C Hacking |
