Why would you want to work for them?

After all the huge layoffs since the 80's and beyond who the heck would want to work for them. Here is your new job... and oh by the way we will fire you in 5 years or less. Ump Dat. They don't care about the people that work for them. Period.

Working for the deathstar is like when walmart comes to a small town and becomes the only employer. Sometimes its your only choice given the pay and level of education.

"Sometimes its your only choice given the pay and level of education."

Surely your not implying that most at&t workers are uneducated? I believe at&t hires more people with degrees in engineering, accounting, business then any other US company. And is not a high school diploma and a english/math competency exam required? Combine this with a physical, drug screen, and several mandatory new hire training classes it sure seems like more then would be needed to get into walmarts or a car factory..etc.
