I am still waiting for the day that Cogeco comes clean on this issue. What is some FUD among friends and a forum. FUD is a powerful tool. I have a better chance of getting pregnant. (Yes I am a man, atleast the last time I checked.) |

| reply to Adam20 I've staunchly defended Cogeco's handling of torrents in the past, but lately I've had great difficulty seeding to a few global users I've been testing with, who are definitely unaffected by any sort of packet filtering or throttling techniques. Uploads seemed quenched or disrupted with most users... I haven't looked further into it though.
I've assumed that since the Cogeco employees that would know de facto if they were or were not throttling haven't said anything in about a year or so, that they might be employing some methods of disruption.
I have no problems downloading though, torrents, newsgroups or otherwise. |

| reply to andyb Yea sadly Cogeco now throttles on the upstream and prevents seeding but the Azureus wiki said they did even before they started so it doesnt have the credibility on this forum... but yea, Cogeco throttles seeding hard. |
