TekSavvy does long distance. Their standard rate is $0.10/minute anywhere in Canada. You can also do unlimited north america long distance for $19.95/month.

While the outgoing calling was great, I had incoming call problems from others callers in Canada, particularly during peak times at night. This would result in incoming calls getting a busy signal (not system busy). Sometimes it was necessary to call my number 10 times before it rang. I was able to consistently reproduce the problem many times. Their support eventually gave up, and so I ditched the test DID. I suspect their upstream provider for Canada stinks. I also had a few problems dialing Japan with them.

Their dashboard is excellent, as you described.

I'm now testing Unlimitel using TrixBox and IAX2. SOLID!

I found it is the best and cheapest LD carrier I have found yet. It is 2.9 cents a minute to anywhere in North America, and the other countries rates are great too.

For instance I just checked the myworldtalk.com rate to Kenya. I call there (or get called) because I sponsor a little girl there. Myworldtalk's rate to Kenya is 43 cents a minute. Just Dial's is only 15.8 cents a minute.

The best part is, (and the main reason why I signed up) is because it is a prepaid account that DOES NOT expire! Unlike most other LD companies, your funds do NOT expire. And there are no other fees.

You call the Just Dial local number first (or a toll-free), then the number you want.

The parents have been using it for over 3 years now. All you have to do is dial an access number then the 10 digit number you want to reach. For 3.95$/mnt it gives you unlimited Canadian LD anytime.
