| Sorry...I was misreading my source....According to the USGA, there were reports that the river flowed northward and affected the Ohio and many small rivers and creeks, some of them that north north.
There are visual signs of this backflow still in the fields along the river in Tennessee, the Missouri and Ohio.
Recent digs in several areas have discovered large blow holes that are indicative of rivers reversing course.
Also the 1911 quakes affected over 50,000 square miles while the San Francisco quake affected only 6,000.
