Realistically, not much. A security-through-obscurity posture by making the available IP space / range a bit less predictable. Practically, it may confuse script kiddies, but only at first. Then again, some automated attacks out there assume one uses the default IP space that's configured on most home routers. These would be one of the following:

192.168.0.0 /24
192.168.1.0 /24.

Constraining it to, say, a 192.168.55.0 /29 space might confuse beginner hackers who try to give themselves an IP like 192.168.55.10 and not have it work.
