Question about setup

I just signed up with Acanac on the 17th of April and received my modem. I hooked everything up and right now on the modem the only lights that are on is the power light and the ethernet light. All other lights are not lit. Is this suppose to be like this at this present time? Will this change once my profile has been activated?

Ive got the phone line connected to the modem. When I access the router it says synchronizing and thats it but again no lights on the internet or dsl leds.

Any help would be much appreaciated

Please call support tomorrow and ask them to check the current status. Please keep in mind that you normally receive your modem a few days before you DSL is setup. We do ship all DSL modems over night and the DSL service can take upto 7 business days before it's up and running.

Best Regards,
Paul

I signed up for my DSL on March 23 and I have finally gotten the service (April 23). I was extremely patient and kept waiting 7+ days after each step. My suggestion is to call the customer service number every day until you get it set up.

Whenever I called them, I spoke with friendly customer service reps and technicians. My mistake was waiting to call them because I waited 7 days for my modem before calling to check on the status. Then, I found that they had not sent it out yet.

When I received my modem, I waited 8 more days for the service to start because the letter said that I should wait 8 business days from April 5. When I called, they said the service was set up April 1. After some investigation, they got Bell to send out a technician.

A few days later, the Bell technician came and did something to my line and I had a DSL light, but no internet. A quick call to ACANAC to reset my account and I got the DSL internet service.

One more call was needed this morning to get my Email Control Panel working. I think I am all set now. I can't wait to go home and see if it all works.
