| Not cheap on the other end though... I have seen a lot of these services popping up for unlimited International calls, and they are great if you're the one calling, I suppose. Until your friends and family in the country you're calling want to kill you for running up their per-minute landline with your call.
With most of the countries you can call with these unlimited plans, you can only call the landline numbers, which get charged by the minute on the receiving end at a ridiculous amount. The cellphones in those countries however are not charged extra per-minute for receiving international calls, and thus are not allowed in these unlimited plans.
Just thought I should point that out. It's not the case with every country, but it is for most. | |

chile | Re: Not cheap on the other end though... that doesnt apply to all the countries in the list , at least here in Chile ALL incoming calls are free (landline and cellphone calls) and the same in New Zealand.

I dont think there is one country on the face of the earth, that charges for incoming calls on landlines.
I mainly make calls to the UK and they just call me back as its free for them. A lot of people there are on the talk talk service. Which is $ 42 USD includes POTS line, unlimited calling to 36 countries and dsl up to 8meg. | |

Just because you don't know doesn't make it incorrect. So please don't comment on it.
Do you call anyone in Sweden? Sweden is at least one country that charges incoming calls on the landlines when called internationally. But mobile calls are not charged extra incoming. | |

| ?? This was the case a long time ago - not anymore. Furthermore, you can't call mobile numbers for "free" on this plan because those countries in which you are charged extra for these calls have adopted "Caller Party Pays", unlike what exists in the US, Canada, China, and other places. | |
