Had It

I had SkypeOut for one year during 2007 when they had the $14.95 promotional offer. It worked well enough but I was not using it enough to justify ponying up $36 for 2008.

If your with Comcast they will just give you dropped connections all the time anyways. I use to use skype all the time with friends and family until Comcast got into doing the stuff they do with there customers, havent even tried going back to use it anymore. Was a very good service though I thought.

I frequently Skype (using Comcast) all the time with friends and family... who also have Comcast. I have never had a problem.

well we have issues and it's not a firewall issue but being your with Comcast and works ok then I guess I should retract my statement.

i had skype

for me:

skype to skype calls were free and high quality - was impressed

skype to regular cell phone - quality was very different, very low quality. I couldn't use it.

I paid $36 for another year of unlimited skype, but they're charging per minute now in the US!
