Re: Gasket for dodge colt '93 I forgot to add that she has to continiusly add oil to the car because of the leakage.
Dr Olds, I'm just guessing because of the condition of the engine, wich looks pretty bad, but actually I will, first of all, to take the car to the guy that will do the work, so he can give me his opinion about the work due on the engine.
I assumed it will need new rings, because of the exhaust symptoms I wrote about in my last post. So, if new rings are in order, why not change everything ?? specially after she said no new filter for a year (who knows if more).
Thanks |
 | Thanks for your help again doctor Olds. The Mechanic said he could get authentic replacement gaskets and parts (not china generic ones) and he got the job done.
the engine was leaking oil everywhere. I dont know why the car owner waited this long to have the car cheked . Also, when one hit the gas, car was like smog hell.
When he was taking apart the engine, the mechanic called me, to see how was the cylinder block, and on his opinion, it was good, he adjusted something on the pistons, new rings, had the block and head machined, and everything is good so far! no more leaks, and the engine feels strong now. |
