I am testing several scenarios on LAN & WLAN drivers with 802.1X
and wanted to know if 802.1x authentication failure should only effect the particular port or connection, or that it will effect LAN&WLAN connections

Geneva, IL		 Maybe your system is using a default gateway via the LAN interface, and maybe that goes nowhere. You need to check what is being used as gateway.
