Let's fire another 5,000 employees while we're at it. Maybe they'll take the money they save and either develop U-Verse quicker or at least get outlying townships some remote terminals...or wait...that would be the good thing to do.

What's funny about this is I recently read a story of an Indian IT firm having to "outsource" back to the United States, because all the jobs going to India has pushed up the cost of labor there by quite a bit...wish i could find that again. |

India is having a food shortage, a gas shortage, and a strained labor market. Plus, most consumers like me hate talking to them instead of an American. If India destabilizes over the shortages, I'm sure riots and businesses won't want to invest there. Doctors here in Florida that are Indian have lost patients because they have low quality training.
If anything, I see outsourcing coming back home since Democrats are still going to control Congress, even more after the elections, and hate it as well. Both Hillary and Obama want to end tax breaks to companies that outsource.
Outsourcing just causes low morale as well, and hatred. Just ask DELL and Bank of America.

Just had my Uverse installed today. Installer showed up late, left trash every place he worked inside and out (insulation, coax, drywall, screws, plastic bags), ran a coax line all the way around the house and over doors instead of going through the crawlspace, left wires drooping on the side of the house, pulled out old/unused coax ran where he wanted to run but only where he wanted to run--left one end laying in the yard and the other attached to the house, didn't understand the difference between COMPONENT and COMPOSITE video. They could do better outsourcing the installs to illegal aliens from the local Home Depot parking lot. And I'm also only seeing 2Mbs downloads on my "10Mbps" internet.

They are only here because doctors that have quality don't locate in most of Florida. One they caught here never went to medical shcool. And, hate to say it, but most can't speak English well.
Personally, I hate most doctors here. They don't care about patients except how many they can see an hour. They don't review records even when you bring them. And, almost every doctor here has been sued or is getting sued for screwing up. So, when I am up north, I see the doctor. People with money here go to U of Florida, FSU, or U of Alabama. That is a pretty good indication doctors here suck.

AT&T sent out another tech with a much bigger clue a few days after my first post, and he cleaned up the mess that the original installer made. My speeds also picked up to about 9.5down/1.4 up.
For reverse NAT, I ended up configuring DMZPlus mode on the RG, and pointing it at my old firewall (Proventia M10) behind the RG. |
