| Canceling via certified mail - address requested
So I've given up on canceling service via some remotely normal means - I called them last Tuesday, last Friday, and sent them e-mail on Sunday, and when I called the Shallowford office again today, I got a "temporary receptionist" who was unable to even give me an address to send my cancellation via certified mail. Ridiculous. So those of you who canceled via certified mail, to what address did you send the cancellation? Did you send it to the Shallowford office, where there is apparently no one left capable of handling anything? If not, where? |

| I can tell you one thing. I'm an attorney and, although I don't like to pull the lawyer card out on non-business related matters, I will give Speed Factory a couple of more days to confirm with me that my account has been canceled -- I've sent them a letter and e-mailed them a few times as well, with no response. If I still haven't heard a peep in a few days, I'll start with a "good faith" letter from my law firm .... if they continue to charge my card after that letter, I'll consider filing a lawsuit against them. It is really ridiculous that I have to even think of legal action to resolve this matter. |

| reply to Ataru Well it appears I am in the same boat. Looks like I will have to go the certified mail route as well. I have cancelled by e-mail twice and no response. I used their contact form on the site when it finally came back up and printed the screen copy of the automated response telling them I had cancelled and they were no longer authorized to use my card number.
Last night I received and email from billing from them and it looks like the charged two months. For last month and this month although I have already been billed and charged for last month. According to the card company as of early this morning the charge actually had not appeared on my bill and of course some GOD at the card company told me that until they gave me a cancellation number the account was not cancelled. Right! Well I have tried everything including SMOKE signals to get in touch with them!
I called NextPhase on my dime in California again this morning and even though selecting customer service I wound up at Tech Support. They could not cancel me but took a message for Speed Factory to call me back.... I told them I would not hold my breath!
I guess certified mail is next. I sure am glad I made a move away from them after the 1st. outage, I originally felt like I was getting a divorce and was hesitant. Now I am just plain mad. |

@speedfactory.net | reply to Ataru I am trying to get credit for being billed this month and am still waiting from Monday for a call back. I called Next Phase and got the same as Speed Factory, the answering service. I am under contract, THIS SUCKS. |
