Most sites? I have a 50Mbps link at my house and I get 30-40Mbps on average on most downloads.

Microsoft, Oracle, Sun, Apple and pretty much anything hosted on an Akami cache guarantees me those speeds.

MSDN AA download sites can fill up the download speed rather quickly.

And while not traditional VPN, using Citrix for running apps remotely for class assignments chews up internet speed faster than you think.

1 click hosting premium accounts and newsgroups. ATI's drivers. Use a download manager with mirror searching and you will easily max out your connection.
