I'm not too familiar with the "n" spec yet, but I believe your newer router has a compatibility feature for a/b/g networks. I'm not sure if there's a way to do automated hand-offs between them (in 802.11i fashion) unless they share a common management structure (that is, tied together by configuration). I could be wrong, but I somewhat doubt this will be possible unless you upgrade your device code to run OpenWRT (I'm assuming OpenWRT will have the functions necessary to do this ... I've never used it personally, so I'm reaching here; maybe someone else has some experience with it?). |
