anon : Alrighty well I called them and got transfered a good 5 times.

After repeating the same story I got to a nice fella who tried to do what he can.

He managed to increase my download speed by 400kbs, but it's still not stable.

It does STOP GO STOP GO still, but he did say if it continues for more then a week to deff take it in and get it checked out. He put a note on my account so I can get it exchanged if I want and so the other guys know what's wrong with it.

He said they've been experimenting with RevA and a bunch of other changes to the network, but the STOP GO STOP GO shouldn't be happening.

I'm guessing there might be something wrong with the modem and will go get it replaced if it continues to act screwy.

Really bad storm yesterday jolted the power so that might have something to do with it.

anon : They must be experimenting with RevA, because I just got a RevA signal. The STOP GO STOP GO of my downloads is the result of it bouncing between DO and RA from the looks of it.

I just hope it gets sorted out and I can actually connect at a stable rate. I'd love to have RevA, but I'd also love my stable 1.5mb DO back even if I have to give up RevA. It's no good to me if it's going to screw up constantly.

anon : I'll be calling them up today with the option to either fix it or I cancel and do a chargeback for every amount they charged me.

Not dealing with this crap anymore. HughesNet took all my patience and kindness. Time to be the pissed off customer who calls 10 times a day.

Hopefully it's just some temp thing or something, but this STOP GO STOP GO crap on my downloads is making them take 3-4 times as long.. on top of that there is possibility of corruption and my speeds are halved..

anon : Is this going to fix the fact that my download speeds have literally been chopped in half?

I just called support and the guy didn't see anything wrong and told me to call back tomorrow during the hours that the data tech guys are in so they can better assist me.

I just don't wanna be jerked around on a chain like HughesNet did.
