cutyshrek : I have been dealing w/ this problem for almost 2 months now and I got nothing. Until a friend refers me to this page. I found this site very educating especially to those internet -savvy people. I've been experiencing problems connecting to certain websites such as Friendster, NBA.com, ESPN.com and even, News articles on the Yahoo! page. It always give me "Error: Host not accessible". But, most of the other sites are connecting just fine like Yahoo, Google and MSN. I ended up using web-based proxy servers and manual proxy configuration to access "blocked sites".

I don't want to use proxies forever because. they slow my connection and they are just not reliable most of the time. I'm using WinXP SP 2 and also uses IE, Safari but I use Firefox a lot. I've tried all basic troubleshooting steps available including changing my MTU, deleting cookies, checking my browser set-up and turning them to 'default" and changing RWIN settings to 65535. I've lowered down my MTU from 1500 to 1492 and still the same. My ISP's advertised speed is 384 kb/s both for download and upload. I am slowly getting out of my mind. I've called up my ISP here in the Philippines., Smart BRO and they did nothing to help me at all. All I got was the connection is good and it could just be a pc problem. I really don't know what to do. Please somebody help me! I want to access NBA and ESPN sites especially, this playoff season.

Here are the details to these problem:

1.»/tweakr/block:···a=normal

2. I used Speakeasy for the speedtests:
A. I am using a PC that is not connected to a network and there's no router to the set-up.

Can anyone shed light on this and point me in the right direction?

Thanks! I will appreciate any reply! God bless!
