NYR11 : I see you people are using a V core of 1.2375 for your Q6600's and overclocking it to 3.2. My gigabyte ep35 ds3p board uses 1.3 v core as "normal" voltage for the stock speed of 2.4. Well anyway, some overclocking forums that I have read recommended 1.4 vcore. When I did that my temps at even 2.7(9x300) went into the high 50's under load with the stock Intel heatsink. Well I tried the 1.2375 vcore that you are using and bumped the cpu up to 3.0(9x333) and it is running just fine. Temps at idle are mid to high 30's and never hitting 50 under load playing Crysis and CS. I'm happy with it at 3.0 especially with stock cooling. May fiddle with RAM timings a bit now to really get it tweaked. Thanks for posting the low vcore stats :)
--
"It's a nice day if you wake up in Disneyland"

Ryan : Argh man thought I was doing good with my temps, but with the 85 degree weather today and with the higher ambient temps my q6600 temps went up :( Running my q6600 G0 at 3.2ghz 1.28v and when i start up prime95 it now hits 63 , 63 , 58 , 58. :( Should I lower the overclock? Seems like such high temps to me since many people hit 3.4-3.6 with similar temperatures. We do have central air which wont kick on for a little while, but I am concerned about the life of the processor with these temps. Starting to think about reseating my heatsink, but not sure if that will even help. Oh Idle its at 40, 37, 33, 37...
