I've found that some random requests do succeed, but most not, and some are painfully slow. I know if I'm downloading at full rate the internet connection will obviously slow down. Are you Downloading via a P2P client (Bit Torrent, Azureus, etc.), at it's MAXIMUM D/L and U/L Speeds?

If So, You are most likely "Flooding" your connection... Try reducing your P2P Client's Maximum D/L and U/L Speed Limits slightly, to give your other Network connections some Bandwidth... ;)

I ran the tweak test, here's my results:

I set the RWIN value in windows to the lowest of the recommended range (115340), as I didn't really know what number to pick. It worked very well, but, almost too well. I have a 12mb ADSL connection, and I can now happily download at that rate.

However, when I do, all the time it's downloading everything else (network related) stops, web pages wont load, attempts to log into the router time out etc. Either my network adapter or the router can't handle it.

Is there a way that I can further optimise it so that it downloads as fast as possible, but I can also use the network for other things at the same time?
