If you think the DNS redirection and ad placement are going away, you are sadly mistaken. There are no laws that prevent it, so more and more ISPs will be glad to scoop it up to increase revenue. I don't even know where to start. First of all, I shouldn't have to conceal my online identity, that should be the default. If I want people to know who I am, where I am surfing, what products I am buying, etc etc etc, I will tell them.
That is a good start.
