eh? You'd get ran over or rear ended on my drives. I mainly go on the Interstate seeing that I live in town.

The problem is the only roads you can typically drive those speeds safely are going to be off interstate or city roads where you'll be in stop and go traffic. That's killing your mileage.

I've seen the best fuel economy driving 55 to 65 on the interstates a reasonable distance behind an 18 wheeler. I get 23mpg in my V8 Dakota that way and about 33mpg in my Mazda5. These are consistent numbers as I travel about 30k miles per year between the two vehicles for work.

I hope you realize that on limited-access highways the minimum speed is 40 or 45 mph (depending on location)? And even at that speed you should stay in the rightmost lane at all times.

I'm not sure any law enforcement agency covering the NE I-85 from inside the perimeter all the way out to Barrow county really try to slow traffic down.

If you single-drive in the HOV, you might get pulled over and cited. Same if you get into an accident, I suppose. But for speeding?

When the I-85S changes from 70MPH, to 65, and then to 55 as you hit Norcross (going southbound) no change in driving behavior is seen. Imagine, you were doing 10 MPH over in North Gwinnett, and as you pass under Spaghetti Junction you are now doing 25 MPH over the limit and someone is riding your butt and complaining you are not going fast enough.

That's the best time to hit the brakes and watch the silly tailgater squrim then go ballistic...everyone needs a little joy on thier ride home from work . See my I brake for tailgaters bumper sticker?

Tailgaters suck, but my problem is, I can't get it over 35 on my ride home.
